Cracking start there Chris, can't wait to hear more about this city and world you've created. Seems like there are *more* than a thousand stories to be found in it. I'll be playing you promo in my next Whispers at the Edge just cos you have excellent taste when casting. ;-)

I too want to second Kaa's comments. The sound effects were great but for that one which overshadowed your voice. Your reading is good for a first-time reader and I am looking forward to hearing you continue to flesh-out this wonderful world that you have created.

What a great concept and mood as well. Well done.

Oh. Ho.
My. & Lee.
God. Cow.

I can't say enough good things about this first installment. I just listened to it during lunch away from work and I was so involved that I didn't hear the server asking me if I wanted more to drink. I flinched when she touched me on the shoulder. That's a good story.

I love the characters, the setting, the enticing bits of exposition that were dropped (you handled that well, by the way; I always have a problem doing that)...pretty much everything. Even the sound effects are great, although I do think you should back off a bit on the volume of the effects. I had a hard time hearing your words over the sirens a time or two. :) Oh, and your reading was very well done, as well.

I will definitely listen to the rest (as well as to this one a time or two more), and I'll definitely recommend this podcast. To anyone who will listen to me. I have a blog, and I KNOW how to use it.
