Oh man, good chapter. You really took it in a direction I didn’t see coming. XD
That is an realy intriguing plot twist that Eva came up with absolutely brilliant. Kepp up the good work and we all will never guess the end.
I liked the “Hammer/Nail” analogy turned into “Fireball/Kindling”. Very nice. And the bar with the home-brewed beer made by “Mac”? Is this an homage to Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files novels?
Also I’ve been waiting for the Androgyne scenes since back in the first few episodes, when I heard your promo with a female voice introducing herself as “Dani Sharabi”.
Thanks, guys! Glad to see that the story is keeping people on their toes.
Yes, CK, Mac and his beer are indeed an homage to Dresden — as well as to several such pubs whose brews I have enjoyed over the years.
I almost feel like I should congratulate you for figuring out the impending plot twist; yes, it was right there in the promo, but surprisingly few people seem to have caught its meaning! I guess people don’t expect to see gender swaps in spec-fic unless the story is a comedy…
Wow. That took a left turn into a cul-de-sac I didn’t see coming.
Very nice. I can’t wait ’til the next episode.
By the way…that funky guitar music in the background during the final section where you’re doing feedback? Way too loud. I find it hard to concentrate on what you’re saying, and when you do voice mails, it makes it worse. Could you maybe edge that volume down just a tidge?
Thanks for the input, Kaa! I’ll definitely be careful to watch the levels on “Smoke-Filled Room” in the future. I’ve updated the file to soften the music there, so hopefully it should be better now.
I think the podcast feed is broken…
Damn!! I shoulda gotten that reference!! However, I’ve been to quite a few breweries, so the reference was lost on me…maybe if Mac had made them get their own damn food…
well done
making all the macho male types uneasy, well done
love the story
always look forward to next episode
Loved loved LOVED this episode. My absolute favorite so far. I loved Eva’s comparison’s on the differences between how men and women act physically…although I’m not sure she’d approve of my masculine moves:(
I love how Daniel/Dani is growing as a character, although I find it amusing that he initially thinks the only problems he will have as a woman is wondering if he can be attracted to men. Ha!
The scene at the club was so wonderfully written I desperately wish Eva would take me for a night out.
