MCP SE03 - Make Believe, Part 1
Posted by Raven on 23 Aug 2008 at 06:01 pm | Tagged as: Artax, Caitlin, Kate, Levinson, Podcast Episodes, Tunstall
A lot of people in Metamor City know about Artax, the mysterious and curmudgeonly wizard who runs the SPELLS 4 U magic shop. The number of people who actually know him is much, much smaller — and when Artax is forced to mentor a young wizard with a boatload of power and a major chip on his shoulder, he feels more alone than ever. His visions seem to hint at a dark future for this budding spellcaster — can Artax get through to him before the hothead becomes Artax’s own undoing? A look inside the head of our favorite wizard, courtesy of Bryan Watson.

Next time on The Metamor City Podcast:
In the conclusion of “Make Believe”, Artax faces down the being that threatens the city — and wouldn’t you know it, Tunstall manages to make things even more complicated for the old man. Until then, keep it on the bright side!

Interesting story, it really gives us a feel for Artax without giving away everything about his past. I liked the way he saw through the female customers request. Since August is nearly over I’m hoping we will get back to the novel in September and that we’ll see an end to this story next week.
Think there’s a couple more parts to this story before its done but I’m not sure how Chris is scheduling it between/around the main story.
I like this story! Metamor City is such an interesting place and I’m so glad that we get to have glimpses into lives other than those of the main characters. Bryan Watson does a great job, narrating and writing this story. I look forward to having “Making the Cut” back, but I can survive a while on stories like this
Just wanted to add a quick comment to say how much I enjoyed this episode - Bryan you did a great job!
Looking forward to the next part, don’t keep us in suspense too long, please!
I enjoyed this episode and I’m looking forward to hearing the rest. This a good glimpse into the lives of other Metamorphs besides those from Making the Cut - Thank you Bryan.
Thank you, Bryan, for stepping in with this great story. Enjoyed it!
