Since Abbey appeared in your previous short story I wasn't too surprised by the way she and Malcolm ended up. After all this I am a little surprised how easily members of the collective are able to hide their secrets from each other. Daniel, a low level telepath is able to conceal some pretty major events during this story. Also, even before Victor received his nanotech upgrade, he'd been able to kill quite a few people without anyone knowing. Makes me wonder how many others like Victor are in the hive; I get the feeling he wasn't exactly a one time aberration. Interesting chapter, really looking forward to the (final?) chapter next time.
