DOWN FROM TEN – Preview

Hey Metamorphs! Now that MAKING THE CUT is wrapped up, i know you’re probably ooking for new stuff to listen to. This is an 8-minute preview of J. Daniel Sawyer’s soon-to-be-released podcast novel, DOWN FROM TEN. I figured I’d share it with you so that you could get a taste of what’s in store for this summer.
DOWN FROM TEN is a cabin fever story with a speculative fiction spin. Dan has described it as “Stephen King’s The Shining if Douglas Adams had adapted it as a sex comedy.” I’d personally add a heavy dollop of Robert Heinlein’s “Time Enough For Love” to the mix, as well.
I’ve read most of the manuscript as Dan has worked on it over the last four months, and it is a thing of beauty. A bunch of eccentric artists and creative geniuses are trapped for ten days in a snowed-in mansion in the California mountains. Knowing that the isolation is likely to drive them crazy, they start putting their formidable intellects to work to combat the encroaching madness — but it seems they’re not alone in the house, and soon they all begin having the same dream…
DOWN FROM TEN begins this June at www.jdsawyer.net.
