Rafak Aliri and the Book of Shadows – LIVE at Balticon 47

Hey Metamorphs!

It was my pleasure this year to return to Balticon, along with a cast of highly talented men and women and an all-new Metamor City audio drama. The recording equipment we had was limited, so there are a few places where the audio glitched on us and doesn’t sound as good as I’d like — but the story is all there, and I think it getting the story out to those who couldn’t be there more than makes up for the limitations in the equipment.

“Rafak Aliri and the Book of Shadows” was written by Chris Lester and Mildred Cady, with some original music by Marnen Leibow-Koser.

Looking for Metamor City artists

All right, folks. I’m looking for artists who are interested in doing black-and-white interior illustrations for the first Metamor City print anthology. I would like to commission one image for each of the short stories:

Welcome to the City
Huntress
House Call
The Sentinel
The Muse
Troubled Minds
Make Believe
Whispers in the Wood

Whoever accepts the commission for one of these pictures must be able to produce a digital version of the image that is 6″ x 9″ at 450 dpi or better. I want to get all of the pictures in by no later than the end of September.

If you’re interested in offering your services, send me a sample of your past work and a quote for your price. If I like what I see, then I’ll ask you for a rough sketch of what you have in mind before giving final approval.

I hope this will be a good chance for Metamor City fans to take part in enriching the world of Metamor — and please feel free to pass this message along to anyone who might be interested. Keep it on the bright side!

After three days of reconstruction, MOST of the Metamor City website and feed are up and working. The new feed is http://www.metamorcity.com/feed, or http://www.metamorcity.com/feed/podcast if you just want the posts that have MP3 attachments. You can subscribe to the new feed by clicking the links in the right sidebar.
