DRS-podcast-300px

Today Paul Cooley and Terry Mixon turn the tables on me, as they interview me for a live episode of The Dead Robots’ Society Podcast. We discuss my influences as a writer, why Neil Gaiman’s faeries feel different from Jim Butcher’s, writing stories with social commentary, and a bunch of other cool stuff. Enjoy!

Why are Lord Ezekiel and his friends so interested in the Rift? What do they expect to find there? And why do they want Hal to accompany them?

MCP 051 – THINGS UNSEEN: Prologue

Things Unseen Cover

At long last, Metamor City returns! This episode takes us back to the year 1974 Cristos Reckoning, when the researchers of Project Lightpath entered a mysterious magic-filled jungle in the name of scientific exploration. What they found there was unlike anything they expected — and laid the foundation for events twenty-five years later, on the other side of the world…

MCP SE16 – Triple Threat Launchcast

Hey all!

It occurred to me that I never actually put this launchcast on the feed. Since the next episode has been delayed due to production difficulties, this seemed to be the ideal time to put it up as an extra bit of content. Listen as Philippa Ballantine, J. Daniel Sawyer and I take calls from listeners and kick off the next stage of our podcasting projects. Enjoy!

The Sex Round-Table, Part 3 of 3

The long-awaited Part Three of the Sex Round-Table is here! This time, we tackle questions of sexual identity — both in how the authors relate to the characters and in how the characters define themselves.

WARNING: All three of us were at least a little drunk at this point in the evening, so please forgive the occasional stuttering and/or mangling of the English language. We’re all still lucid enough to be making some great points — and, perhaps, revealing more about our own inner psychology than anyone wanted to know. 🙂

Special thanks to Dan Sawyer for editing and mixing this ep, and to Pip Ballantine for joining us in the madness. This was an absolute blast. 🙂

MCP SE06 – Feedback Show, Episode II: Attack of the Kiwi, Part 1

Pip Ballantine joined me, Dan Sawyer and Kitty Nic’Iaian for another feedback extravaganza. This one is so long I had to break it in half. And yes, I know that I said “special episode 5″ at the beginning. I’d lost count, I’m afraid…

The Sex Round-Table, Part 2 of 3

The sex talk between me, J. Daniel Sawyer and Philippa Ballantine continues. We start off with a discussion of erotic themes in Metamor City, then progress to talk about sex in religion, sex in humans vs. other species of animals, serious sex, funny sex, and the wide spectrum of human relationships from shallow to intimate — and all the different kinds of sex involved in that continuum.

No promos in this one, folks. And yes, my numbering system at the beginning of the episode is STILL out of whack.

Part 1 of the Round-Table is at the ANTITHESIS feed, if you haven’t already heard it. Part 3 will be coming to the Erotica a la Carte feed shortly.
