Posted by Raven on 31 May 2008 | Tagged as: Evan/Eva, Jared, Danni, Making the Cut, science fiction, podiobook, fantasy, novel, Podcast Episodes

Danni has her first real date with a man. Will it be all that she expected? And how is Nate going to react to having a bombshell like Danni living in the apartment?

Note: Chris gives his after-action report on Balticon 42 and gets rather mushy on the subject. If you’d rather not listen to the chatter, skip ahead to about the 14-minute mark.

Bonus: Interview with Tale Chasing, Part 1

Posted by Raven on 15 May 2008 | Tagged as: Interview

Kimi Alexandre of Tale Chasing sat down with me for a great conversation about Metamor City, urban fantasy, the craft of writing, and why we crazy authors do what we do. We had so much fun that we had to break the interview up into two parts to make it all fit.  :)

I’ll post part 2 tomorrow. For now, enjoy the first half of the interview!

The following were referenced during the interview — big thanks to Kimi for hunting down all the links:

Bonus: The Longest Interview EVER! :)

Posted by Raven on 10 May 2008 | Tagged as: Interview

John Hollywood (www.xanga.com/briarsxinxmyxsoul) sat down with me recently for a very thoughtful, in-depth interview with lots of insightful questions.

Unfortunately, we were plagued with the Skype Connection From Hell, so we had numerous stops and starts before finally giving up and recording our questions and answers separately. What resulted was an interview that I hope was worth all of the effort we both put into it. :) Enjoy!

Warning: John’s blog is rated for adults-only, so the intro sequence is designed to scare away anyone who might be offended by anything he discusses on his show. Our actual conversation was much more PG-rated. :)

Bonus: New Cover Art!

Posted by Raven on 06 May 2008 | Tagged as: David, Kate, Artwork, Announcements

Hey there, Metamorphs! By now you’ve probably noticed the website’s new look — but did you also notice the new cover art at the About Metamor City page?

Metamor City Cover Art

Here we see David Silverleaf and Kathryn Kitaen, MCPD detectives, investigating a crime scene on the Street. David keeps an eye out for trouble while Kate prepares an augury spell, which will hopefully reveal more about what happened to this unfortunate soul. This picture was done by the amazingly talented Jeff Himmelman; you can find more of his work at www.somniturne.com.

The version on the web can’t do justice to how gloriously awesome this picture actually is, so I’m attaching a PDF of a higher-resolution version and sending it out on the feed. Keep an eye out for posters and postcards of this art to be made available soon!
